CMM PROGRAMMER / LAB TECHNICIAN

SUMMARY

Act as the principle liaison between the Quality and Manufacturing groups.  Audit, enforce and train other associates on all aspects of the quality policy. Should be self-directed and work well with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Able to run parts using PC-DMIS Software package

·       Able to program CMM using CAD through PC-DMIS

·       PPAP & Data collection & ability to analyze/interpret data

·       Experience using SPC tools

·       Able to read blueprints

·       Knowledgeable in GD&T

·       Conduct destructive testing of the weld (draw cup) for correlation studies as needed

·       Hold non-conforming materials (use inventory management)

·       Sort through non-conforming material as necessary to aid in disposition

·       Perform all capability studies and analyze process variances

·       Interact with internal & external customers all PSO’s & PPAP’s as needed

·       Run all extra testing required as part of validation process after quarantine

·       Problem solves (work with operations on shift to determine root cause of material on hold and make the appropriate changes to limit the amount of material placed on hold)

·       Perform control plan audits. Work with engineers to update as needed

·       Perform annual dimensional layouts per customer requirements and any additional as requested

·       Perform Process/Product and LPA Audits

·       Issue gages to production as necessary

·       Assist with or answer 8D assignments on customer rejects

·       Update ICP’s as needed for various programs as assigned

·       Ability to generate new form/work instructions/checksheets

·       Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as assigned

·       Ability to write Operator Instruction for new gages

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates degree or higher preferred or minimum of a High School diploma/GED and a minimum of three (3) years experience operating CMM machinery.  Previous metrology experience and CAD desired.

 

Salary range is $25-30/ hour.
